MOJO BAGS
USES:
Mojo Bags are traditionally known in Hoodoo culture for being “prayers/spells in a bag.” Mojo bags are made with specific intentions, you are to use your mojo bag to help you draw your desires toward you.
RITUAL:
When you receive your mojo bag, you are to program it. You do this by telling your mojo what it’s supposed to do for you. To program your mojo, you should spiritually cleanse it with sage, palo santo, or incense smoke. When you do this, you are clearing the energy and letting the mojo know it belongs to you. This is sort of an introduction between you and the mojo. You are introducing yourself and taking over what the spiritualist has started. While you are doing this, you want to tell your mojo who you are, you want to bless your mojo with prayer and intention and familiarize yourself with it. Think of it as bringing a new pet home. You two have to get acclimated to one another. When you are finished cleansing the mojo and introducing yourself, you will pick it up and place it in your palms. You will talk to the mojo as if you were speaking through and into it. At this time, you will tell the mojo what its purpose is. Make sure when you are programming your mojo, it has one purpose and one purpose only. Do not confuse the mojo!
ex: If you have a prosperity mojo, you will program it to help you save money to buy a home, help you grow your investment portfolio, and lead you to a divine financial advisor or mentor. If you have a protection mojo, you will program it to help protect you while in your vehicle, help protect your home, or protect a loved one and place it in their bag or gift it to them. Do whatever you feel called to, these are just examples.
WORKS WELL WITH:
Conjure Oils! You can dress your mojos with your oils for extra potency and to amplify the ingredients inside.
*Make sure not to drench the bag. A drop or two will do just fine.
TIPS:
Your mojo bag needs to be kept in a clean and safe space. If you are carrying it in your bag, make sure it’s in a clean pocket or in a space that is not cluttered or dirty.
Do not overdress the mojo with oil! It will get dirty and it will ruin the rest of the ingredients inside of the bag.
If you want the mojo bag to do its job, do not open it. If you feel the need to open the bag just out of curiosity, trust there are only roots, herbs, crystals, coins, and spiritual items inside of there. You are not to open the bag as it will release the energy and the essence of the items that are inside.
For long-term usage, make sure to get your mojo bag cleaned and recharged by your spiritualist often. Your mojo bag should be recharged every month or every quarter (at the most).
Once you have manifested your desires through the mojo bag you can then open it OR you can simply release it into nature (bury it into the Earth or release it in a body of water) — do not open the mojo bag and throw it out! You must finish it off by releasing it properly back to nature.
For long-term usage, do not open the mojo bag - get it charged often and take care of it!
If you feel the mojo bag is not mojo-ing, you either need to recharge it or you need to do bigger spiritual work. There could be a blockage or whatever you are trying to manifest requires a lot from the mojo and it needs to be recharged more often.
